We Have a winner! Natasha Natale was awarded the $10,000 Heysen Prize for Interpretation of Place at the finalists exhibition opening on Saturday October 6 for her stunning blown and sandblasted glass installation 'Decomposition (Series I)' (pictured Below). Congratulations Natasha... You can see Natasha's and all of the 53 finalist works on exhibition at the Academy until December 2.

Congratulations to Janine Mackintosh for winning the People's Choice Award for her fabulous leaf assemblege 'Under the Great Provider' (pictured below). Janine was presented the $1,000 award on Friday 8th December by Ann Haines who sponsored the prize in memory of her late husband David who passed away earlier this year. David was a great friend to the Academy for many years and was passionate about the arts and the environment.
